- When you experience something really good, you can’t help but to express it.
- Have you every taken a bite of a really good steak?
- A chocolate shake made with vanilla bean ice-cream from McConnells.
- When my wife walks into the room. She can stop me in my tracks.
- When my sons soccer team makes a goal, what do I do?
- Bring home a great report card.
- When we experience something good, we express it.
- Often times , the people we look up to are those who have Authentic “expression”
- Appreciate people who know who they are and express it… life matches there words and there words match their belief.
- Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther King Jr., Ghandi
- Sports stars
- Micheal Jordan, Messi, Muhammad Ali, Babe Ruth
- Local hero, firefighters during the Thomas Fire, first responders during the flood & everyone who helped dig out, provided food, shelter
- Everyone appreciated our local heroes, some people expressed it!
- Signs, billboards, shoe polish on the car window.
- Experience something good, we express it in appreciation.
- Jesus is my hero
- Jesus- He believed he was God, sent to save humanity from it’s sin by dying for us and then proved it by rising again. Partial to the this, but no-one on a hero list rose again from the dead…
- Every major religion puts Jesus at the very least, a guru of some sort, a prophet.

- More than a song
- Worship; We tell the story that God alone is the priority by humbly giving him the glory in all of life.
- I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Romans 12:1
- Spirit and Truth
- But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. John 4:23
- “Where” is true worship?
- Everywhere, as an individual, and together as a church.
- “What” is the object of true worship?
- The one true God
- “How” do we worship?
- In Spirit & Truth
- “Why” do we worship?
- Because he loves us
- “Where” is true worship?
- But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. John 4:23
Express yourself
- When we experience something good, we express it
- Ephesians 2:1-3
- Meant to live expressing our faith or belief.
- Address unbelievers. We know, but we reject/ suppress
- Vs. 4-9 But GOD
- Gospel, GOOD NEWS —> our response is worship with our whole lives
- Vs. 10- We are God’s canvas.

- Speaking
- Addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart, giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ. Ephesians 5:19–21
- Shouting
- Then my head will be exalted above the enemies who surround me; at his tabernacle will I sacrifice with shouts of joy; I will sing and make music to the Lord. Psalm 27:6
- Singing –
- Sing praises to God, sing praises to our King, sing praises. Psalm 47:6
- Speaking
- Our Posture
- Bowing
- Come let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker. Psalm 95:6
- Standing
- My flesh trembles in fear of you; I stand in awe of your laws. Psalm 119:120
- Dancing
- Let them praise his name with dancing and make music to him with tambourine and harp. Psalm 149:3
- Bowing
- Our Hands
- Playing Instruments
- Praise the Lord with the harp; make music to him on the ten stringed lyre. Sing to him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy. Psalm 33:2, 3
- Clapping
- Clap your hands, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy. Psalm 47:1
- Lifting Hands
- I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands. Psalm 63:4
