  • What is “praise”?
Look up and Praise the LORD Vs. 1-6

The heavens declare the glory of God,  and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.   Day to day pours out speech,  and night to night reveals knowledge.

There is no speech, nor are there words, whose voice is not heard.  Their voice goes out through all the earth,  and their words to the end of the world.  In them he has set a tent for the sun,   Psalm 19:1-4

  • -Psalm 42 moments, why are you downcast?
  • -Doubts, fears, shame,
  • -Look up —>  The Heavens declare
Look out and Praise the LORD, Vs. 7-10

SLIDE-  For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God.  Romans 8:19-21

Look Around and Praise the LORD Vs. 11-13

SLIDE-And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. For in this hope we were saved… Romans 8:23-24

  • We long for Redemption, all people do. We desire to be fixed or we wouldn’t search.
Look to Jesus and Praise the LORD

SLIDE- And his father Zechariah was filled with the Holy Spirit and prophesied, saying,   “Blessed be the Lord God of Israel,  for he has visited and redeemed his people and has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David, Luke 1:67-69.

  • -Zach; John the baptists dad after getting his speech back, filled with the Holy Spirit prophesied that Jesus was coming and his son, John, would prepare the way
