Grace & Peace-The truths of scripture given to us by God’s GRACE inform and motivate the commands of Scripture that lead us to God’s PEACE.
Grace & Peace to Others- The Grace & Peace you have received is to live in Biblical community with other believers and live out towards those who do not believe.

PRAYER

1. Continual
Faithful, Consistent, “A man of prayer”
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 1 Th 5:16–18
Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord. Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Romans 12:11–12
First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, 1 Timothy 2:1
- -Young Christian, Set a watch to see if I could pray all day.
- -How? State of prayer?
- -Can you work to God’s glory and it be prayer? Yes
- -See someone, pray for them.
- -Alex, praying for addicts, the hurting & the homeless.
2. Steadfastly
-to continue to do something with intense effort, with the possible implication of despite difficulty—‘to devote oneself to, to keep on, to persist in. Greek-English lexicon
And he told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not lose heart. Luke 18:1
- What are you praying for? What do you want?
3. Watchful; Stay awake.
SLIDE- “To be awake” is to be alive in the fullest sense, to have all the powers of perception and action in readiness. The activity of the soul in prayer is to be both energetic and incessant.” Pulpit Commentary Colossians

In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak. Eph 6:16–20
4. Thankful
For what? The Grace of God.
Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16

- vs. 3-Pastors, church planters, missionaries
- -All points to… Praying for the lost!
- -God may open a door for the word, to declare CHrist.”

Pray
- -Pray for those who need Jesus
- -Take out your prayer cards, and write down at least one name.Come tonight and pray with us!
