- Supremacy: the state or condition of bring superior to all others in authority, power and status. Read John 1:1-5
- He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. - We are all about what Jesus is all about.
- Read vs. 36, “Obey”- Some versions say “does not believe”.
- Greek- Apeitheo: Unwillingness or refusal to comply with the demands of some authority.
- What true unbelief is an unwillingness or refusal to comply with the demands of the authority of Jesus. Therefore, TRUE belief is to comply with the demands of the supremacy of Jesus!
- The assumption is if you believe you will obey. True faith is being about what Jesus is about.
- “If you love me, you will keep my commandments. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you. John 14:15–17

- Whoever says “I know him” but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him, but whoever keeps his word, in him truly the love of God is perfected.
